Shaped by War: Photographs by Don McCullin (Exhibition)

“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.” Don McCullin, Sleeping with Ghosts: A Life’s Work in Photography

One of my favourite photographers, Don McCullin has a new exhibition ‘Shaped by War’, running from 6 February to 13 June 2010 at the Imperial War Museum North, Manchester, UK.

This is the largest ever UK exhibition about the life and work of Don McCullin, one of the world’s most acclaimed photographers, to mark his 75th year. Many items are on public display for the very first time.

Further exhibitions of Shaped by War: Photographs by Don McCullin are planned at:

  • Victoria Art Gallery, Bath, 11 September – 21 November 2010
  • Imperial War Museum London, 7 October 2011 – 30 January 2012

Further information is available on the exhibition website.
