13 Photos of Autumn Leaves

The leaves in Scotland are changing from the deep greens of summer into the autumnal palette of yellows, brown and reds.

I drove up to the Queen’s View, Killiecrankie (I love the place just for the name) this weekend, one of the best known places in Scotland for spectacular autumnal views. The colours were just starting to come out, and inspired me to find some of the best Flickr photographs of autumn leaves.

Hi Mike, looks like our brain signals are tuned in at the same wave length! How about you, did you get some photos at Killiecrankie (sure is a cool name for a place)?

P.S. I was very close to picking the shot of the vertical 'black' trees in 'motion' with the red autum colours in the middle. It's a nice shot, but you have picked a beautiful series overall.

Although the leaves have turned where I live, and are dropping from the branches, Killiecrankie is an hour and a half's drive North, and the leaves were still mostly green. I did get some nice detils of trees though (and a great walk).
